5.5 Delayed TAFs

A delayed TAF is an issuance which has been delayed due to an unforeseen event or circumstance. The event or circumstance could be due to an electrical, mechanical or other event which prevented the TAF from being issued at its normal scheduled issuance time.

Delayed TAFs should be issued as soon as possible after the problem causing the delay has been corrected.

Example:

FTUS42 KMFL 231100 RRA

KMFL 231209Z 2312/2412 17015KT...

The above KMFL TAF was originally scheduled to be issued between 1130 - 1140 UTC on the on the 23rd day of the month. The TAF was delayed due to a power failure and was later issued at 1209 UTC on the 23rd day of the month.
