Introduction to TAF

This course introduces the learner to Terminal Aerodrome Forecasts (TAFs) products, policies and coding used by the NWS to forecast aviation weather at airports across the U.S. and its territories.
TAFs products are a key source of information used for flight planning and aircraft movement across the National Airspace System (NAS).
NWS TAF policies and procedures are located in NWS Instruction 10-813.
