4.4.2 Product Template Only Tasks
Recall, product templates differ from reference templates. A few additional definitions are required when editing product templates.
Output Type
When creating product templates, think about what type of output (image, XML, etc.) you want to create.
If you edit a previous version of a product, you must change the file name. You do not want to overwrite the original file!
References
Consider using reference templates to save time. The definitions for the input time series and chart series are already completed.
Appearance
Define attributes such as titles, labels, and colors in the Appearance tab.
Validating Changes
Make sure the output looks like you planned. If not, check the settings in the reference and product templates. Make any necessary adjustments.
