6.5 Forecaster Notes
Communication is essential for forecast consistency between shifts.
Rather than keeping paper notes or sending emails, the CHPS IFD has an option for inserting a free text area called the Forecaster Notes panel.
Forecaster Notes Activation
The Forecaster Notes panel is part of the baseline configuration of CHPS, but must be activated to use.
Once configured, the forecaster notes panel can be moved within the IFD like any other panel.
Using Forecaster Notes
Use the forecast panel to make notes such as releases from reservoirs or suspicions about gage output and publish them for other forecasters to view.
The layout is similar to a log message with newer messages appearing at the top of the panel.
