6.6 Forecaster Notes Configuration
Most of the configuration work for Forecaster Notes has been done for you.
The only step left is to turn on the panel in order to make it available for the users.
Edit the Explorer.xml file in the SystemConfigFiles directory to activate the Forecaster Notes panel.
The Forecaster Notes panel is listed as an “explorer task” in the code.
In the image below, Forecaster Notes is set to appear as a window in the IFD and will load at startup.
In the XML file, you have the option of making the forecaster notes a toolbar task or menu bar task or both.
Use standard editing procedures and change either option from “false” to “true”.
Remember: Set the tokens to ”true” to display the Forecaster Notes as a menu bar item or as a tool bar item.
