LCL-LFC-EL
The following are annotated on the SkewT between the temperature trace and the wind vectors:
LCL (Lifted Condensation Level in green) - the level at which a lifted parcel becomes saturated. The LCL height corresponds to cloud base height for forced ascent.
LFC (Level of Free Convection in yellow) - the last level where a parcel becomes buoyant, or "warmer" than the environmental temperature at the same level. Note when the LCL is the same as the LFC, only the LCL is labeled.
EL (Equilibrium Level in red) - the level where the lifted parcel again equals the environmental temperature, working upward from the LFC. The EL represents the top of the layer containing CAPE.
These levels correspond to the latest lifting method chosen.
