Duty Cycle

When there is a repetitive behavior, the total time duration before the behavior starts to repeat is called a cycle (NOT a 'duty cycle').

In electronics a repetitive behavior is commonly repeated a number of times every second, and the term Hertz is used in place of 'cycles per second'.
