The WFO staff is an important part of the hydrologic program. The entire staff is involved and responsible for a successful hydrologic program.
WFOs collect and quality control hydrometeorological data and information, issue flood and flash flood products, perform public outreach, and coordinate with partners and other stakeholders.
Read Section 1 Introduction and Section 2 Staff Responsibilities of NWSI 10-921 Weather Forecast Water Resources Hydrologic Operations and for an overview of the specific responsibilities for operational staff.
