3.6 Retrieve Archives from the Database
The previous page outlined how to create a forecast archive manually.
The file produced by this forecast run is written to the file system and picked up by the archive process where it is stored in the archive database as metadata.
The zip file on the file system is erased.
The Archive Display tool provides access to archives stored in the archive database as metadata. The tool also retrieves the metadata as zip files to the file system.
Retrieve Files
Use the following steps to retrieve an archive file from the archive database manually (using the Archive Display tool):
- Access the Archive Display tool on the SA with the latest RFC configuration.
- Query the archive database (described in Running a Query) to find the required forecast run archive.
- Click the Save button in the bottom right of the window.
The requested file is saved to the local file system as a zip file.
